It’s Time To Let These 3 Trends Go!
Moments and trends come and go, but pictures lasts a lifetime. ESPECIALLY ones form your wedding. So whilst thinking dressing up your besties all the same is cute, would you still dig it after decades of years down the road? Here are some trends to steer clear from to avoid #REGRETS!
Solid, matchy-matchy dresses
Legend has it, weddings might attract evil spirits, or jealous ex-suitors. In order to protect bride from these, she would surround herself with decoys, the bridesmaids.
By having her bridesmaids wear the same dress as her, the evil spirits or exes – should they appear – would be confused for a moment, giving the betrothed couple ample time to complete their vows without intervention. That’s the outdated reason.
Today, everyone has different body types so it's nice to choose two or more styles that way your bridesmaids have options. And if you want them all in the same color, at least give them free reign of the dress style.
You know the ones...you can tie them like a billion different ways. They seemed like a good idea at first, but figuring out how to actually tie them was often more difficult than the instructions gave the average credit for.
It works well if you select two different complimentary colours for bridesmaid dresses but the look of having each girl wear a different colour is a trend that should've never been in style in the first place! Let's just say it'll definitely date your photos, which may not matter so much now, but might make you cringe in the long run.
